About the artist
My main interest has always been figurative painting, more precisely human figure and portrait. I combine these subjects with context that often is symbolic and tells a story of autobiographical and universal charecter as well. My big inspiration are Old Masters and contemporary artists who study the knowledge and skills of Old Masters and use them in their own contemporary works. This is also one of my goals, and the reason I got a Master's degree in Painting as well as a Master's degree in Conservation and Restoration of painings at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts In Antwerp.
Currently I'm living and working in Belgium.
